Ahhhh… it’s our first long weekend in the warm weather and the forecast looks like it’s going to be beautiful. Although there’s lots going on, you should make a point to come to Halcyon House and see what’s new in the shop.
It’s the last weekend for the Henry Koehler show of equestrian and other artworks. This has been such a successful show and we’ve been thrilled with everyone’s response to his art.
One of our fun new items for the summer is our Turkish towels. They are 100% cotton, with a flat weave that’s light and airy. They don’t take up a huge amount of space like terry-cloth towels do, and they’re large enough to be used as a beach towel, a cover up or a sarong, measuring a generous 72” x 37” with a great fringe on the ends. The Turkish towels come in a rainbow of colors, so you can assign each person their own and no one gets mixed up!
If you’re having guests this weekend , there’s no better way to keep your food covered than with this fabulous cake stand! Even if you buy the cupcakes or cookies, they will look so elegant under this dome.
And for those drinks by the pool, you will want to get some of our amazing acrylic glassware, which looks like actual glass, but without the danger of breakage.
And don’t forget our melamine plates, which look like they’ve just arrived from Italy or Province. Again, they’re shatter-proof, so perfect for picnics, pool-side dining and small children!
As always, if you see anything that interests you, please contact Eric at the shop. He’d love to hear from you.
